Comments to the Informally Proposed TDI DWC Chapter 127 RulesNovember 21, John D. Pringle has commented by letter on the informally proposed or pre-proposed Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) Chapter 127 rules, amendments and repeal which provide for the qualifications of designated doctors, provide for who can perform range of motion testing and provide for administrative violations. A portion of the comments from page 1 of the letter are set out below: One of the purposes of this letter is to briefly state in writing my concerns with the informally proposed Chapter 127 rules as I mentioned to you, Commissioner Bordelon, on Tuesday at the public meeting at the Division of Workers’ Compensation (the Division or DWC). Another purpose of this letter is to elaborate on my oral comments as requested by you regarding the “ancillary health care provider” issue and to request clarification by the Division of what is intended by the informally proposed rule.
